This interactive map of the city of Meerbusch shows the land use areas of the property cadastre, the official building footprints and the search areas — street space without crown shade. Added to that is the heat load from the North Rhine-Westphalia climate analysis 2026, kept separate for day and night. The tree locations here are not an official survey but derived from the surface model itself.

56,947 people live on 64.4 km². The map records 181,561 trees, 1,031 search areas and 849 gathering places, of which 457 are under 10 percent shaded. On a typical summer day the heat load reaches at least 35 °C on 60.3 percent of the city area — the threshold from which VDI guideline 3787 speaks of strong heat stress. In an extreme night, 64.1 percent of the area stays above 20 °C and thus in tropical night territory.
